Role Description: Bethany Rydmark :: Landscapes is looking to add a highly collaborative Full-time Landscape Designer with 3-6 years of experience to our growing tight-knit team. We are seeking someone with a heartfelt connection to the practice of landscape architecture and garden design in alignment with our vision and purpose. Primary tasks include document preparation and collaborative teamwork. You will collaborate with internal and external team members and foster a culture of excellence and creative problem solving. This position asks for flexibility and adaptation to serve clients through internal and external communication, supporting concept design development, and assisting in construction documentation, bid coordination, and contractor communication. Detailed drawings should be approached with critical thinking to ensure project success.

Role Location: Must be located in or near Portland, Oregon. We overlap in office 3-4 days a week on average. We are flexible with partial hybrid hours but find our best work is done when we are able to easily collaborate in person.
Compensation: Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Starting annualized full-time pay and benefits package ranging from $60-80K ($29-39 per hour). ROLE REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a professional design studio
Proven experience documenting and detailing projects from concept to completion
Experience with Autocad, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Bluebeam, Dropbox, and Sketch Up
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
High emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, intuition, and practice using discretion and professionalism when interacting with clients
Strong verbal and written communication skills
PNW Plant knowledge and passion for native ecosystems
Valid drivers license and use of personal vehicle and phone is required
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist project manager in design, drawing production, and quality assurance of studio design work
Help sustain project momentum, delivery dates, and performance targets
Provide client and sub-contractor support - email, phone, and in-person meetings
Perform site analysis and site measuring
Product and plant research and sourcing
Assemble and review bids
Create robust planting plans with assistance
Maintain and assist in improving existing company processes and systems
