Simone Knowlden brings a scientist's eye and a maker's hand to landscape design. She holds a Master's in Landscape Architecture, earned cum laude from the Politecnico di Milano, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her path her from Milan to New York to Chicago and now Portland spans work in agroforestry campuses, public gardens, a zoo aviary, and high-end residential landscapes.

Grounded in environmental science, Simone approaches each site with awareness and honor of relationships between inhabitants and their surrounding living world. Curious and collaborative, she thinks in systems and draws in detail, moving fluidly from ecological analysis to renderings to construction documents, helping clients envision what takes root and grows into final form.
